Meditate Deeply With Solfeggio Singing Bowls
The Solfeggio Frequencies are an ancient scale which was “lost” by the church for nearly a thousand years. Their origins remain a mystery, but it is reported the sacred tones have the capacity to heal. They were once used with Gregorian chants during religious ceremonies, and it is thought the Church considered them too powerful for everyday use. For this reason they banned their use and removed all reference of them from the history books.
Thankfully one of the sacred chants re-emerged. Known as “The Hymn to St. John the Baptist,” or “Ut Queant Laxis Resonare Fibris,” in Latin. This chant features all 6 of the original Solfeggio tones.
The Six Solfeggio Frequencies

The singing bowls of Tibet are a still somewhat of a mystery. They are reputedly made from an alloy consisting between five, seven or even nine different metals. Legend has it one of these metals is meteorite iron and it is thought this is the reason why they have such amazing sounds. Due to the higher altitude of the Himalayas the meteorites are less likely to burn up and have a different quality than the meteorites found anywhere else on the planet. The metals are heated with fire forming the bowls which are then hammered into shape as the sacred names of the deities are chanted. This imparts the energies of the sacred words into the bowls.
They are also reported to be linked with “Fire Worship” and are very old, coming from an early period of Tibetan history. They were kept in the Lamaseries and the monks would worship the tones, but not know what they were for. It is believed they originated from a very remote sect linked with Bon – an ancient and primitive animistic sect of Nepal who worshiped fire.
The bowls were used for meditation and for astral travelling. The sound of the bowl was experienced as moving from the bowl right around the world and then back into the bowl. This meant that whoever was meditating would also travel with the sound, right around the world. The bowls were brought into Tibet via the Silk route and were used for food and even begging. Eventually some Tibetans began using them for their sounds.
Experience The Healing Harmonic Resonance
According to Tibetan Mahayana tradition there are many Buddhas in the past and many more to come. They prophecy the next Buddha to be known as “Maitreya”. This name is translated as “Harmonic Resonance”
This alone is an amazing testimony to how sound has the capacity to heal and help humanity move into the next evolutionary stage. As people recognise the healing power of sound, this will be the catalyst for change in bringing peace to the world.
You can experience the wonderful sound of the Tibetan singing bowls tuned to each of the Solfeggio frequencies.
